The Judge Group is seeking an Engineering Manager for a manufacturing company located in the Fort Wayne, IN area.
Title: Engineering Manager
Location: Fort Wayne, IN
Salary: $140,000-$150,000
Responsibilities:
- Lead and coach a diverse engineering team including manufacturing, CNC programming, and NPI staff
- Oversee new product launches and optimize ongoing production performance
- Manage quoting activities and collaborate with customers on project feasibility
- Drive continuous improvement through Lean, Six Sigma, and structured problem-solving
- Implement process and technology enhancements to boost efficiency and quality
- Develop capital equipment plans aligned with growth targets
- Ensure regulatory compliance with FDA and quality standards
- Partner cross-functionally with operations, supply chain, and commercial teams
- Provide DFM input and lead root cause investigations for production issues
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
- 8+ years in manufacturing, including leadership experience
- Strong background in CNC machining (milling/turning)
- Experience in medical device, aerospace, or precision metals environments preferred
- Proven ability to lead teams in complex, regulated settings
- Exposure to NPI, Lean initiatives, and cost/quoting analysis is a plus
